This course will support staff at all levels to improve the accommodation prospects of young people in the transition from care.
The course is designed to explore what options may be available to young people in the transition from care, the issues for this vulnerable group of young people and the action required for these issues to be resolved.
The course can be tailored to suit a wide range of individuals who are involved in ensuring that young people in and from care access suitable, safe and settled accommodation. Those who would benefit include social workers, personal advisers, foster carers, children’s home staff, independent reviewing officers, housing workers, support workers, service managers and lead members.
We currently do not offer this training, however you may be interested in our training on the new statutory guidance Planning transitions to adulthood for care leavers which includes information around provisions for accommodation for care leavers – e-mail us or phone 020 73364824 for more information.
