It’s official – we have a new National Care Leavers Month (NCLM) logo!
Just in case you missed it, the Alliance for Children in Care and Care Leavers ran a competition at the end of July where the reigns were handed over to the care-experienced community to design it.
Entrants were free to create designs however they liked and in whatever format they wished. The only element that needed to be included were the words ‘National Care Leavers Month’.
We received several entries, displaying bags of creativity. It made it hard to decide on a single winner as we were so impressed by each design but at the end of the day, there could only have been one.
On behalf of everyone at the Alliance, congratulations to our winner – you have created a great design. We look forward to seeing it plastered in as many places as possible as we approach our first-ever National Care Leavers Month!
This year’s theme is ‘Rising As Me: Overcoming challenges, transforming, and finding your identity’. It speaks to the resilience that care experienced individuals show every day and also honours the personal growth and transformation that their journeys have inspired (and will continue to inspire).
If you’d like to know what events are happening during NCLM, please keep an eye out for a full calendar of events from across the country. If there’s anything that you think we should include, please feel free to let us know.
We hope that you are as excited as we are – bring on November 2025!
