Participation Summit – Workshop/Presentation Expression of Interest

On Tuesday 23rd September the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum and the Esmee Fairbairn Leaving Care Learning Programme will be co-hosting an online conference to showcase high quality and exciting co-production projects with care experienced young people from across the UK.

When:

The event will take place on Tuesday 23rd September from 10am – 2pm which will include a lunch and refreshment break.  Please save the date in your calendar – event registration will begin in July.

Workshop/presentation expression of interest:

We are looking for interesting co-production projects to present their work during the online conference and share their insight and learning. Ideally, we would love for projects included in the conference to be co-presented with young people.

Aims and Objectives for the event:

  • To provide a reflective and positive space to consider inclusivity in participation work with care experienced individuals
  • To consider the impact of protected characteristics on participation activities (gender reassignment, sexuality, sex, ethnicity/race, religion, disability, pregnancy/maternity)
  • To connect organisations to strong practice and new ideas
  • To showcase and promote members and partners of the programme

If you would be interested in participating by sharing a project in a presentation/workshop please complete this expression of interest by 5pm Monday 21st July 2025:  https://forms.office.com/e/9wrHXGLPG3

(please share the form link with colleagues and voluntary sector organizations who may be interested in being involved).
