We’re Recruiting: Digital Marketing & Events Officer (Maternity Cover) 

NLCBF is looking for a dynamic and creative Digital Marketing & Events Officer to cover a maternity leave period of 9 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in communicating the impact of our work and delivering high-quality events for care-experienced young people and professionals.

Job Purpose: Digital Marketing & Events Officer (Maternity Cover)

The Digital Marketing & Events Officer will be responsible for enhancing NLCBF’s online presence, engaging with our members through social media and website management, and ensuring the smooth delivery of our hybrid events. This role will amplify the voices of care-experienced young people and promote best practices in the leaving care sector.

The Context:

NLCBF, part of Catch22, is a network of over 130 local authority leaving care teams dedicated to improving services and support for care-experienced young people. Our work is driven by the voices of our Young People’s Benchmarking Forum, ensuring that their priorities shape our activities. This maternity cover role will be crucial in maintaining our momentum and expanding our reach during a key period.

NLCBF delivers nine hybrid events each year, facilitates online workshops, and actively influences policy and decision-makers. This role will ensure these activities are effectively communicated and delivered.

The Post Holder Will:

  • Create engaging social media content across NLCBF’s platforms.
  • Engage with the Young People’s Benchmarking Forum to develop impactful social media strategies.
  • Maintain and update the NLCBF website with news, resources, and event information.
  • Produce engaging video and podcast content in collaboration with sessional workers and the YPBMF.
  • Design campaign materials and content to support key initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a communications plan to raise NLCBF’s profile.
  • Manage online event platforms (e.g., Hopin) and support attendees.
  • Create and distribute the bi-monthly YPBMF newsletter.
  • Produce and upload post-event resources (video and audio editing).
  • Review and improve the online event experience.
  • Liaise with external agencies and local authority services.
  • Travel nationally for events.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies.
