A Starting Guide for Supporting LGBTQ+ Young People in Care

A Starting Guide for Supporting LGBTQ+ Young People in Care

The LGBTQ+ Youth in Care Network released a starting guide for supporting LGBTQ+ young people in the care system for Care Day 2023.

For Care Day 2023, the LGBTQ+ Youth in Care Network announced the release of their new resource, “A Starting Guide for Supporting LGBTQ+ Young People in Care.” This guide was created to help people in supporting and advocating for the needs of young people in care and answers their most common questions.

Young people who identify as LGBTQ+ are more likely to experience discrimination, isolation, and a lack of understanding within the care system. This guide aims to provide practical advice and guidance on how to best support these young people.

This guide will hopefully be a valuable resource for all people who work with young people in care. We encourage you to share this guide with your colleagues and networks and to use it in your work. If you have any questions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with them or visit their website: lgbtyouthincare.com
