How do I get there?

The Vox is located within the Resorts World complex (next to the NEC) and is easy to reach by train and car.

I’m driving – is parking available?

Yes, refreshments and catering will be available throughout the day and are included in the ticket price.

If you have any specific access requirements, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to support you.

Will there be any space where I can pray?

Yes, we will provide a quiet space for prayer for any delegates that requires this.

I have additional learning needs – how will you ensure the event is accessible for me?

We will be working hard with our event planning team to adapt sessions and resources to meet different learning needs. The event is co-produced with care experienced individuals who explore how to make events accessible regularly but please do let us know how we can support your individual needs when you sign up to the event.

I’ve heard it will be large event which makes me nervous about attending – are you doing anything to help people attend the event who experience anxiety?

It is a large event with an aim to have up to 650 people in attendance. We will be working to make the space as welcoming as possible. This includes reducing the size of the main room at times (dividing it into 3 for smaller audiences) and offering a chillout/quiet room for people to take time out of the main event spaces.  We will also have staff and volunteers ready on hand to support you.

There is also a lovely lake outside the venue, where you can take a short walk if you need some space on the day.

Will sensitive topics be discussed?

Some sessions may include discussions of lived experiences and the challenges within the care system. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment, and you’re encouraged to engage in a way that feels right for you.

I’ll need to book accommodation — are there options nearby?

You can use our accommodation finder to explore nearby options.  Find that HERE.

Is there a dress code?

We don’t have a formal dress code — Please wear whatever feels comfortable for you.

I can’t make it in-person – can I join online?

We have chosen to run United for Change for Care Leavers as an in-person event only to encourage as much connection and collaboration as possible. We hope you can join us on the day!

I’ve booked a ticket but I can no longer make it — what should I do?

We understand that plans change. Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable which means you can transfer your ticket to a colleague or donate it to a care experienced individual. Get in touch with us via unitedforchangeevent@leavingcare.org and we can help you handle it.

I’m interested in sponsoring and/or exhibiting at the event — how can I get involved?

To discuss sponsorship and/or exhibition opportunities, please register your interest HERE.

I can’t find an answer to my question – who can I contact?

If you have any other questions, please send us an email via unitedforchangeevent@leavingcare.org  and we’ll be happy to help.
