We’re still buzzing from the energy and inspiration of the recent YPBMF Residential! It was truly a special few days where our champions, legends and staff team came together to learn, grow, and build lasting connections.
One of the highlights of the YPBMF Residential was the sheer variety of activities on offer. From unlocking our inner navigators on the beautiful lake to discussions on shaping the future of NLCBF, there was something for everyone. It was fantastic to see Champions and Legends collaborating, sharing experiences, and learning from each other’s unique perspectives.
One of the core focus’s of the residential was connection, and it delivered in spades! We created space for Champions and Legends to get to know each other on a deeper level, develop relationships built on mutual respect, understanding and communication. It was great to see new friendships forming and existing bonds strengthening.
Another focus on the residential was amplifying the voices of our Champions through our ongoing ‘In Their Own Words’ campaign. We worked on creating platforms for Champions to share their experiences, insights, and ideas directly. The residential truly reflected the lived experiences and priorities of care-experienced young people.

The residential provided invaluable time for Champions and Legends to connect, share and learn from each other. It really was an NLCBF Family Holiday!
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our partners. A huge thank you goes out to Brathay, who provided such a stunning and welcoming environment for us all. Their hospitality and support were second to none. And we also extend our thanks to Barclays for their continued commitment to YPBMF and for helping to make this residential a reality.
